Health Vision Sea to Sky
Planning for the future of health care on the North Shore, Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton.

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is planning for the future of health care in the fast-growing Sea to Sky region.
Part of our efforts is the development of an integrated high-level health services master plan for the Sea to Sky corridor, and specific health-related site plans for the Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton areas. To inform the plan, we have engaged First Nations and community partners, local government, along with VCH staff and medical staff.
The plans will support health and wellness needs as well as future population growth, seasonal fluctuations and aging projections for the communities of Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton. The North Shore will be included as people in the Sea to Sky corridor rely on North Shore health services and Lions Gate Hospital for care.
Next phase of Health Vision Sea to Sky
VCH has developed a draft clinical services plan for the Sea to Sky region and community plans for Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton, which include historical data and trends, industry best practices, population projections, as well as, input from the Sea to Sky community, the six First Nations in the corridor and staff and medical staff.
Once finalized, these plans will provide a vision for future health-care services at a regional and community level and inform space planning and infrastructure recommendations. VCH will work with the B.C. Government and other partners to coordinate, engage and advance the recommendations outlined in Health Vision Sea to Sky.
Have your say – join an in-person or online session
Participants will hear about the draft Sea to Sky clinical services plan and community plans, including what we learned from previous sessions, and will be invited to ask questions and provide feedback. We will also continue to engage with VCH staff and medical staff, First Nations, and community partners.
We thank those who have participated for their feedback and insights to date.
