Bill Chan

Bill Chan currently serves on the Board of Directors of Vancity Credit Union, Canada’s largest community-based credit union, with over 570,000 members and $35 billion in assets. He has chaired both the Audit Committee and the Governance Committee.

Bill previously served on the Board of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), where he chaired the Finance and Operations Committee.

He brings over 25 years of executive management experience with Encorp Pacific / Return-It depots in BC, where he held the roles of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Return-It operates a province-wide recycling system for beverage containers and end-of-life electronics. Throughout his career, Bill has focused on building successful programs that combine financial sustainability with environmental and social responsibility.

Bill also volunteers his time on the board of the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia (CPABC).

He holds the CPA, CGA, MBA, and ICD.D designations.
