We offer services to support adult patients admitted to the G.F. Strong Rehabilitation Centre who may also be experiencing symptoms of obstructive sleep apnea or other sleep-related breathing disorders. Testing, diagnosis, and treatment services are offered in collaboration with the Leon Judah Blackmore Centre for Sleep Disorders at UBC Hospital.
Services Offered
Level 3 Sleep Apnea Testing: A portable, diagnostic test that monitors breathing, oxygen levels, and heart rate during sleep.
Overnight Oximetry: A screening tool used to measure oxygen saturation and detect abnormal drops in oxygen during sleep.
Who We Serve
These diagnostic tests are for inpatients with suspected sleep disordered breathing. Testing is coordinated through a multidisciplinary team and is overseen by a sleep medicine physician.
