Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is partnering with the Squamish Hospice Society to build a four-bed hospice in Squamish, thanks to a generous donation from the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation. Information bulletin ➞ March 12 2018 Angus hits the road to detect C. difficile Vancouver, BC – Vancouver Coastal Health’s four-legged infection fighter is taking a road-trip to showcase his C. difficile detection abilities. Angus, a three-year-old English springer spaniel, and his trainer, Teresa Zurberg, will visit Interior Health this month. Angus will use an ultra-sensitive detection device – his nose – to seek out C. difficile spores in the hospital environment. Angus will search common and clinical areas and patient units when patients are not present.
