Adult Short-Term Assessment and Treatment (ASTAT) provides short-term counselling support to individuals 25 years and older who are experiencing a problematic mental health and/or substance use concern.

Adult Short-Term Assessment Treatment (ASTAT) provides assessment and treatment for individuals experiencing mental health and substance use concerns through individual psychotherapy, skills-based/psychoeducational workshops, and psychiatrist referral. Individuals accessing ASTAT will typically work with a multidisciplinary team in a group-based skills-based workshop. Individuals who require more intensive services may connect with a counsellor for brief individual therapy.  

How to access

    • Resident of Whistler
    • Ages 25 and older
    • Experiencing a problematic mental health and/or substance use concern
  • Get a referral

    • Contact the Assessment and Treatment Matching Team at (604) 698-6455 to learn if this service is right for you or for more information.
    • Physician or nurse practitioner referrals are also accepted. If you are a physician or nurse practitioner looking to refer, please fax a completed Sea to Sky Referral Form to 604-932-6953.

Whistler Mental Health & Substance Use Services is a clinic in Whistler B.C. that provides support to Whistler residents ages 25 or older with mental health and/or substance use concerns. The clinic is located inside Whistler Health Care Centre.

Mental health outpatient services provide assessment, consultation and time-limited group therapy treatment to adults.
