VANCOUVER, B.C. – Starting immediately, Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is making it even easier for students to get ready to head back to school by adding more convenient locations for students to get vaccinated for COVID-19, including several on-campus clinics.

Lower Mainland Health Authorities supporting Armstrong care home residents impacted by wildfire evacuation alerts

Vancouver, B.C. — As a result of a wildfire threat and an evacuation alert in the Vernon area, Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) and Providence Health Care (PHC) are working in cooperation with Interior Health to temporarily receive and care for residents of the Pleasant Valley Manor long-term care home in Armstrong, B.C.

Vancouver Coastal Health’s canine scent detection team now detecting COVID-19

VANCOUVER- For more than five years, Vancouver Coastal Health's (VCH) canine scent detection team – Canines for Care – has been sniffing out Clostridioides difficile (C. difficile) in healthcare settings both in British Columbia and across the country, reducing infection rates and improving patient quality of care. Now the team has added COVID-19 to their scent detection roster.
